Rejected by law firms, Shin I-rang rents an eerie old office and lands his first job: a medical malpractice case for a ghost and his grieving wife.

After ghostly client Lee Gang-pung possesses him, I-rang reconsiders their arrangement — until a crisis renews his conviction.

The ghost of a teenage girl haunts I-rang in his office, demanding he acknowledge her existence and find out who she was.

I-rang vows to reveal the true perpetrator behind Su-a's case. With this in mind, he enters a temporary alliance with his lawyer nemesis, Na-hyun.

I-rang's new case involves a gifted scientist who died at the hands of his wife. The wife's defense lawyer turns out to be none other than Na-hyun.

Mistakenly linked to a murder, I-rang must race against time to solve the case and prove his innocence.

When I-rang loses his ability to see ghosts and Na-hyun suffers a career setback, the two cross paths again at the courthouse.

A possessed I-rang acts out at a crime scene and gets arrested. While locked up, he discovers the identity of the ghost who caused his outburst.

Na-hyun spends precious time with her sister thanks to I-rang. But her emotional wounds deepen behind the facade of a happy family reunion.

I-rang and Na-hyun officially launch their partnership. On their first day, a vegetable vendor arrives at their office seeking legal help.

As the will was deemed a forgery, I-rang and Na-hyun decide to drop the case. While seeking another way for a trial, Jeong-hee tells them there may be a chance that Seon-hwa is still alive. While investigating Seon-hwa’s past, I-rang and Na-hyun discover an accident that occurred during her previous imprisonment.

While helping a young ghost uncover his identity, I-rang finds a mysterious link to an abandoned golf course. Meanwhile, Na-hyun’s feelings for him deepen as they search for the truth together.

I-rang tracks Si-ho, confronts Jo-chi-yeong with Na-hyun and Bong-su. He uncovers Shin-gi-jung’s hidden past as Do-kyung probes Byeong-il’s secret.

I-rang hides the truth from Gi-jung to send him away. Byeong-il reveals a secret Chinatown case, while Do-kyeong starts an investigation into the mysterious past of I-rang.

I-rang finally decides to confront Gi-jung and listen to what he has to say. It turns out that Gi-jung was framed, and someone from the prosecution was behind this. Na-hyun also investigates the case on her own, and she finds that the records of Yoon Dae-myeong and Gi-jung’s deaths are suspicious. Meanwhile, Byung-il tells Do-kyung about his past and why he wants to stop I-rang.

Thanks to Gi-jung’s help, I-rang and Na-hyun defeat the gang that attacked them at the office. However, the gang leader takes the recorder. To retrieve the recorder, I-rang and Na-hyun visit Chinatown again. Meanwhile, Do-kyung tries to help Byung-il and get recognised by him. However, he discovers that Byung-il still does not trust him fully. Finally, I-rang decides to confront Byung-il himself.
